Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka received a visit from Elder Ronald Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, highlighting the Church’s commitment to adopting global relationships.
They discussed Fiji’s appreciation for the Church’s ongoing humanitarian aid efforts, emphasising the importance of collaboration between religious institutions and the government for societal well-being.
Elder Rasband expressed gratitude for the opportunity to explore further collaboration, mentioning the Church’s support for various initiatives addressing health and infrastructure challenges in Fiji.
They noted the significant presence of the Church in Fiji, with over 23,400 members across 52 congregations since the establishment of the LDS Temple in Suva in 2000.
