The Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, visited Nasinu Muslim College as chief guest, where he commended teachers and school management for their contribution to nation-building.

Addressing staff and stakeholders, Radrodro encouraged educators to embrace their role as mentors and leaders in shaping future generations, calling teaching a “legacy and calling.”

He highlighted several key government education priorities:

  • A comprehensive review of the Education Act
  • Professional development and retention programs for teachers
  • Continued investment in school infrastructure
  • A national shift toward modern, tech-integrated teaching methods

Teachers at the event raised concerns about exam standardisation, digital resource gaps, and salary recognition, which the Minister confirmed are under active review.

In support of vocational training, the Ministry handed over industrial sewing equipment to enhance the school’s Home Economics and Vocational classes.

This visit is part of broader efforts to strengthen Fiji’s education sector through dialogue and direct engagement with schools.
