Sanatan Prathinidhi Sabha Fiji’s Holi initiative in corrections services.

Sanatan Prathinidhi Sabha Fiji, embarked on a meaningful journey to the corrections services alongside the Pacific Technical Institute.

This initiative aimed to extend support and acknowledgment to the inmates housed within medium and minimum-security facilities.

Expressing gratitude to the Commissioner of Corrections for granting access to the facilities, National Vice President of the Fiji Sanatan Prathinidhi Sabha, Ravi Narayan emphasized the significance of the visit.

“It marked the first instance of Sanatan Prathinidhi Sabha Fiji engaging directly with incarcerated individuals, seeking to convey a message of empathy and understanding, particularly resonant with the upcoming Hindu festival of Holi.” Narayan says.

In a bid to facilitate lasting change, Sanatan Prathinidhi Sabha Fiji announced plans to collaborate with the Pacific Technical Institute to offer educational courses within correctional facilities.

“These programs aim to equip inmates with skills and knowledge that can pave the way for a brighter future beyond their incarceration.” Narayan stressed.

Ravi Narayan called for support for the new leadership of Sanatan Prathinidhi Sabha Fiji, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to fostering positive change within the community.

As they continue to promote the values of Sanatan, Narayan expressed optimism for a future marked by compassion, understanding, and inclusivity.
