Tabuya empowers women entrepreneurs at Western Division Women’s Expo

Women, Children and Social Protection Minister, Lynda Tabuya officiated the opening of the Western Division Women’s Expo at the Girmit Center in Lautoka, encouraging the public, particularly tourists, to support women entrepreneurs by purchasing their handicrafts and art ahead of Mother’s Day. 

The expo is a platform for women-owned businesses to network and promote their products. This aligns with the government’s vision of adopting an environment for women to excel. 

Tabuya discussed and highlighted the importance of women’s participation in the workforce and entrepreneurship.

She also acknowledged women’s role in economic growth and social development. 

The Minister praised the resilience of women entrepreneurs and expressed confidence that the expo would not only create economic opportunities but also inspire future generations. 

The event features a variety of exhibitors and workshops that are targeting the enhancement of women’s entrepreneurial skills and knowledge in the Micro Small Medium Enterprise sector.
