An 18-year-old student has been charged with one count of murder following the death of a man in his 20s at an apartment complex in Suva earlier this week.
Police confirmed that the fatal incident occurred during an altercation at the complex, leading to the victim sustaining serious injuries.
Despite efforts to revive him, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following investigations, the accused was taken into custody and formally charged yesterday.
He is expected to appear at the Suva Magistrates Court today.
Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of further charges, pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
