Thousands of students across the country returned to school today as Term One of the 2025 academic year begins after a seven-week break.
The academic year consists of three terms with the first and second term having 14 weeks, whilst the third term – 13.
Term One is scheduled to end on 2 May, followed by a two-week break.
Term Two will begin on 19 May and run until 22 August, with a two-week break to follow.
The final term will start on 8 September and conclude on 5 December, followed by a seven-week holiday.
As the school year commences, students and parents are excited to see what the new term has in store, with schools ready to welcome back students for an engaging and productive year ahead.
