24-year-old man Ledua Vakaloloma has been remanded for the alleged murder of 24-year-old Lemeki Duidomo in 2022.

Vakaloloma is charged with one count of murder and appeared before Magistrate Krishan Prasad at the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon. 

Valaloloma is alleged to have in April 2022, seriously assaulted Duidomo with an iron rod outside a motel in Suva, causing serious injuries.

He was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where he unfortunately succumbed to injuries. 

The police prosecutor served all disclosures including CCTV footage.

The matter had been transferred to the High Court. 

Vakaloloma also waived his right to counsel.

The case will be called again on the 20th of this month.
