The Look North Policy aims to revitalise the Fisheries and Forestry sector in Vanua Levu’s Northern Division, emphasising empowerment for natural resource owners. 

The Ministry has acquired three new excavators to drive development initiatives. Minister Kalaveti Ravu highlighted the importance of leveraging natural resources through Private-Public Partnerships and grassroots-level programs. 

The Ministry focuses on industries like aquaculture and seaweed farming, offering support to indigenous communities. 

Minister Ravu encourages collaboration and investment in industries like prawn and crab farming, emphasising the role of cooperative communities. 

Plans include expanding the pine industry and integrating new landowners into schemes, while ensuring sustainable forest management practices.
