In Fiji:
Vodafone’s M-PAiSA mobile wallet is now fully integrated with Fiji’s national payment system, allowing users to transfer money between their banks and M-PAiSA in near real-time.
This milestone, announced by the Reserve Bank of Fiji, marks a significant step in enhancing financial inclusion, reducing the unbanked rate from 45% in 2010 to about 6% today.
The integration supports all major banks to integrate a cashless society, improve access to credit and stimulate economic growth for all Fijians.
