Fiji Television Limited has exciting news to share – it will broadcast the 2023 Oceania 7s tournament live on its free-to-air channel.
Fiji TV’s acting General Manager Poonam Nandani says this move will ensure that fans do not miss out on the tournament.
Nandani thanked Pasifika TV as PacificAus TV announced that it has acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast the 2023 Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship for all partner broadcasters.
The Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship will feature 25 teams – 15 men’s and 10 women’s teams from 14 countries in the region.
18 teams will compete for Olympic qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The tournament will feature teams from America Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu Vanuatu, as well as teams from Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania.
The tournament will be held from Friday, 10th November to Sunday, 12th November at Brisbane’s Ballymore Stadium.
All the action from the Oceania 7s can be watched on either Fiji One or Channel 2.
