Over the past eight years, Burger King Fiji has contributed over $120,000 towards facilitating the education of children from impoverished families.

And this was further increased this with the contribution of $15,000 to the Foundation for the Education of Needy Children (FENC) Fiji recently.

“FENC’s mission to promote and support the education of underprivileged children in Fiji resonates deeply with Burger King’s core values,” said Kavinesh Reddy, manager of Burger King Fiji.

“We firmly believe that education is not just a privilege but a fundamental right that every child deserves. It is the cornerstone of a brighter future, offering hope, opportunities, and the promise of a better tomorrow.”

Burger King has been supporting FENC’s cause since 2016 by collecting funds through charity boxes placed at all 7 of their outlets in Fiji. Since then, the Home of the Whopper® has contributed over $120,000 in alleviating poverty by ensuring every child has access to education.

FENC’s Head of Operations Nirmala Namibiar said they warmly welcomed the support from Burger King Fiji.

“As we work on widening the scope of assistance to the community by way of establishing learning centres and conducting capacity building programs to empower women and children, the continued support from Burger King is very timely,” she said.

“We are always thankful to their generous hands that continue to give us to help our future leaders in the country.

“Annually we receive a great sponsorship from Burger King to support FENC Fiji Initiatives and we will always respect and continue to support our sponsors and the hands that have generously contributed to the charity boxes.”
