The Assistant Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, Sashi Kiran officiated as the chief guest at the Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations held today at the Kshatriya Hall, organized by Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School.
This year’s celebration embraced the theme “Nurturing the Whole Person through the Head, Heart, and Hands,” reflecting the holistic approach to education and personal development inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings.
The program included the presentation of awards to outstanding students who reflected the values of leadership, compassion, and community service.
The Assistant Minister commended the students for their achievements and encouraged them to continue embodying the principles of Gandhi in their daily lives.
“As we celebrate the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, let us remember to work on our self-development and healing, so we can offer that to the world around us. As in the famous quote by Gandhi ji which states: “Be the change you want to see in the world”
The celebration served as a reminder of the enduring relevance of Gandhi’s philosophy in today’s society and the vital role of education in shaping future leaders.
