The Chief Executive of the Maritime Safety Authority, Joeli Ratulevu Cawaki, addressed the ongoing operations of the organisation particularly during the festive season when there is an increase in maritime travel between the cities, towns and the outer islands.
He stressed the importance of awareness regarding the responsibilities that both passengers and ship operators must uphold when planning their trips.
Mr Cawaki urges the public to take heed of the advisories issued by the authority to ensure safety at sea during this peak travel period.
