The Integrated Human Resources Development Programme has supported Josefa Tagica and his wife, the entrepreneurs behind Unique Investment Rayawa Bakery, a micro-enterprise in Natumua Village, Kadavu.
Established in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the bakery began with a makeshift oven and quickly gained loyal customers.
Tagica, through the Programme’s help, acquired a 12.5kg Dough Mixer, enhancing production to meet growing demand.
His business now generates $3,000 – $3,500 per month and employs two staff members.
He has recently opened a mini mart at the Vunisea Market and is working to expand into new markets.
