Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, today addressed the newly inducted prefects at Adi Cakobau School (ACS) during the 2025 Prefects Investiture Ceremony.
In his speech, Radrodro congratulated the students on their appointments but reminded them that leadership is not defined by titles, but by the responsibility to set a positive example for others.
He stressed that effective leaders prioritize integrity, teamwork, and their duty to serve others.
The Minister also took the opportunity to emphasize the crucial role of parents in the educational journey, urging them to remain actively involved in their children’s academic progress.
He noted that students who enjoy emotional well-being and strong family support are more likely to achieve success in their studies and personal lives.
Radrodro further spoke about the collective effort needed between schools, teachers, parents and the broader community to address social challenges such as mental health, substance abuse, and school dropout rates.
In closing, the Minister congratulated the new prefects once again and wished ACS students and teachers a prosperous and successful academic year.
