Leading hardware and construction company RC Manubhai & Co. PTE LTD has announced its official sponsorship of the upcoming Natovi 7s Rugby Tournament, scheduled for June 27–28, 2025, at the Natovi Parish Ground in Tailevu.

The two-day tournament, set to feature 32 teams from across Fiji, aims to raise funds for a vital community project; the purchase of a transport truck to support student commutes for Natovi Primary School and St. Vincent College. The initiative is expected to significantly ease transportation challenges for students in the wider Natovi Parish.

Group CEO Dr. Uppiliappan Gopalan reaffirmed the company’s commitment to community partnerships that advance education, youth development, and social impact across Fiji.

“This tournament is more than just rugby- it’s a community movement,” Dr. Gopalan said. “It embodies our commitment to giving back and supporting young people in rural areas.”

Beyond rugby, the 2025 Natovi 7s is being positioned as a platform for key social advocacy:

“Say No to Drugs” – Advocating for a drug-free future.

“Support Grassroots Rugby” – Investing in local talent and development.

“Stop Domestic Violence” – Raising awareness and fostering community unity.

With strong community participation anticipated, spectators can expect action-packed matches alongside cultural performances and engagement activities around the three major themes.

RC Manubhai’s sponsorship underscores the company’s broader corporate social responsibility focus on education, rural outreach, and youth empowerment, aligning with its vision to support sustainable development and meaningful change at the grassroots level.

“We believe in the power of sport and education to transform lives, especially for young people. Natovi 7s reflects the very values we stand for – resilience, unity, and opportunity,” Dr. Gopalan added.
