eTransport Card Upgrade Deadline Set for 15 July

Members of the public are reminded that the final date to upgrade their eTransport cards is Monday, 15 July 2025.

Cardholders are encouraged to visit designated upgrade locations across the country, which include both permanent and pop-up sites operating throughout the weekend and the following week. Many of these locations provide special seating for the elderly and offer faster service queues.

  • Convenient mobile top-ups via the eTransport App
  • Balance checks, fare history, and ticket viewing on smartphones
  • Redeem balance on the bus itself
  • Faster and smoother boarding

Card Issuance & Replacement Guidelines:

  • First-time users and first card replacements are free.
  • Upgrading is free if only two old cards are registered under the user’s name.
  • If more than two cards are registered, each new card will cost $3.
  • Replacement cards cost $3 each.

Upgrade Requirements:

Adult (Red)Any valid photo ID (Voter, FNPF, FRCS, DL, Passport, Social Welfare ID)
Student (Blue/Yellow)Letter from school (dated 2025), FEMIS ID, signed and stamped by Head of School. Lost cards also need police report.
Social Welfare (Purple/Green)Corresponding Social Welfare ID cards
  • Students may have cards upgraded by a parent/guardian with proper documentation.
  • For elderly or persons with disabilities unable to visit a location, a family member can upgrade on their behalf with both parties’ IDs and the old card.

Balance Transfers:

Old card must be physically presented for immediate on-the-spot balance transfer to the new card.
