Minister for Policing Ioane Naivalurua has confirmed that he will now contest under the People’s Alliance Party banner.
Naivalurua made the confirmation while speaking about his political position and his role in serving the public.
His political journey has seen him move from FijiFirst to becoming an independent MP before taking up his current ministerial role.
He remained with FijiFirst until the party was deregistered in 2024, after which he became an independent MP.
He was later appointed Minister for Policing in January 2025 and led a group of independent MPs supporting the Prime Minister.
When asked by the media about his political affiliation, Minister Naivalurua confirmed that he is now with the People’s Alliance Party.
“I am with PAP” Naivalurua confirmed.
