Fijians will need to fork out more for fuel and cooking gas from tomorrow, with the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission confirming price increases effective November.
Motor spirit on Viti Levu will increase by 55 cents to $3.70 per litre, while diesel will rise by 46 cents to $3.87 per litre.
Premix will increase by 53 cents to $3.54 per litre, while kerosene will rise by 41 cents to $3.08 per litre.
The price of a 12-kilogram LPG cylinder on Viti Levu and Vanua Levu will also increase by $1.10, from $42.16 to $43.26.
FCCC says the increases follow a sharp rise in international fuel prices in September, driven by renewed geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the Russia-Ukraine war.
The Commission says the revised prices reflect international fuel costs, freight rates and exchange rate movements linked to imports in September.
