Fiji Chinese Trade show officially opened this morning at the Vodafone Arena, showcasing the latest in technology and innovation, from 30 leading Chinese tech companies.
The event, which will run for four days – aims to foster closer trade relations between Fiji and China.
Chinese Ambassador to Fiji His Excellency Zhou Jian says, the exhibition will provide a platform for Chinese companies, to explore the Fijian market and identify potential opportunities for collaboration.
“The participating companies are all leading brands in various industries. It not only shows China’s achievements in technological innovation and industrial upgrading, but also provides an important window for Fijian companies and people to understand China’s advanced technologies and products,” Jian said.
The exhibition will become a “bridge of trade”, “bridge of cooperation” and “bridge of friendship”, helping Chinese and Fijian companies to connect, promoting higher-level economic and trade cooperation and technological exchanges between the two sides.
“More importantly, I hope that the exhibitors today will become investors in Fiji, and today’s Chinese trading companies will become producers in Fiji, and jointly build Fiji into a manufacturing hub in the South Pacific” he said.
Deputy Director General of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Yan Chenhui says the trade exhibition brings together numerous outstanding Chinese enterprises and high-quality products, encompassing agriculture, manufacturing, services, and other sectors.
