Fiji Television Limited has penned a deal with Mobil Oil Fiji for the broadcast of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Mobil Oil Fiji has joined forces with Fiji TV to ensure that the global championship reaches the homes of countless Fijians.

Mobil Oil Fiji has come on board as an associate sponsor for Fiji TV.

Mobil Oil has consistently demonstrated its commitment to rugby’s advancement, previously backing various rugby tournaments sanctioned by the FRU.

With great anticipation, the Fijian fuel company eagerly awaits the Rugby World Cup and, through Fiji Television, hopes that fans won’t miss a moment.

Chief Financial Officer Jatin Kumar says Mobil Fiji is pleased to enter into this partnership with Fiji TV.

“I think it was almost a natural choice given that we are also one of the key sponsors for the Fiji Rugby Union, and we felt that we should extend our sponsorship and assist Fiji TV to allow viewers to enjoy the Rugby World Cup live on the free-to-air channel, said Kumar”.

He says Mobil Fiji has a sponsorship program that they come up with every year, and they try to address different areas, and sporting is part of that.

Expressing her gratitude, the acting general manager of Fiji TV, Poonam Nandani, extended her heartfelt appreciation to Mobil for their unwavering support of rugby.

“It’s a big achievement for Fiji TV. Our partnership with Mobil goes beyond this signing today. Mobil has been our sporting advertising partner for most of our international sports events that we have been telecasting on our free-to-air channel, said Nandani”.

She says this sponsorship has basically elevated Fiji TV’s ability to showcase the games on screens as everyone eagerly awaits the start of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

The Rugby World Cup is set to commence on September 9th, with the Flying Fijians taking on Wales on September 11th.
