Fiji’s First Lady, Madam Emily Lalabalavu, has emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment in driving positive change for families, communities, and the nation. Speaking at the closing of the Women Invigorating the Nation (WIN) Convention in Suva, she highlighted the role of such platforms in fostering economic growth, poverty alleviation, and gender equality.

- Healthcare & Wellbeing: Prioritizing access to healthcare, reproductive rights, and mental health support.
- Breaking Stigma: Addressing biases and discrimination affecting women and girls.
- Drug Epidemic Awareness: Recognizing risks, identifying warning signs, and advocating for prevention strategies.
- Youth Engagement: Supporting young women as key agents of change.
- Gender Inclusion in Security Forces: Challenging systemic barriers in the disciplinary forces.

- Sustainability in Business: Encouraging family businesses to integrate environmental and social responsibility.
The convention also introduced the Green Star Awards, recognizing organizations for their commitment to sustainability and gender-inclusive policies, following the WEBC Green Policy launched in 2023.
