Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, the President of the Republic of Fiji, was present at a church service held at the Centenary Church in Suva.
The annual conference and the Methodist Church in Fiji’s 60th anniversary commemoration were kicked off with this service.
Believers from throughout the nation, who will be attending the week-long conference, attended the service.
Reverend Dr. Semisi Turagavou, President of the Methodist Church of Fiji and Rotuma, preached during the service.
He focused on a passage from John 15 in the Bible and urged the congregation to hold fast to their faith so that they would continue to bear fruit through their unwavering dedication and service to God.
The unveiling of a plaque honoring the Methodist Church of Fiji’s 60th anniversary was a noteworthy high point of the occasion.
This historic event is a testament to the church and its members’ unwavering faith and dedication over the years.
