In Fiji:
The Ministry of Health & Medical Services is warning members of the public to be aware of the incorrect Free Medical Insurance postings that are circulating on social media, which appears to be an attempt to mislead members of the public in Fiji.
The Ministry has stressed that it does not offer free medical insurance for people over 50 years as stated in the incorrect social media postings.
Any official social media posting will be disseminated on the Ministry of Health and Medical Services social media platform and website.
The Ministry is working with the Department of Information and the Fiji Police Force Cyber Crime Unit to ascertain the basis of these incorrect postings.
