The Ministry of Agriculture today received a significant boost towards strengthening its agriculture sector, after it received two “mobile soil-testing laboratories”, from the Indian government, through the Indian High Commission here in Fiji.
Minister for Agriculture Vatimi Rayalu expressed his gratitude towards the Indian government, and says this will further strengthens the strong diplomatic relationship Fiji and India share.
Rayalu adds India is committed to helping pacific island countries, to promote sustainable farming practices.
The Indian High Commissioner to Fiji, Subramaryan Kartigeyan, says, that this initiative will empower farmers throughout Fiji, to use modern technology to enhance productivity.
