Police Officers at the Nawai and Vatudradra Community Posts will now have the responsibility to serve their communities better, after the Minister for Defence, National Security and Policing, Inia Seruiratu handed over two government vehicles to them yesterday.

The two vehicles have also been fitted with communication capabilities where members of the public can contact officers traveling inside the vehicle at any given time.

“Take responsibility in looking after this asset, as mobility is critical to the work you do,” Minister Seruiratu says.

“You have a responsibility to serve the people better, that is the expectation from the government and the police commissioner because our core business is to serve”.

Seruiratu reminded the officers of the need to uphold the policing profession by serving their respective communities with pride, respect and dignity.

“I extend our gratitude and appreciation for support provided to the Fiji Police and all government machinery and assure you of government’s continued support in providing the necessary capacity and capability support to the Fiji Police Force to help them serve people better,” he says.

The contact number for the vehicle posted to the Nawai Community Post is 7747 432; and the contact number for the vehicle posted to the Vatudradra Community Post is 77474 89.
