The Fiji Police Force Academy has commenced its second Constable Qualifying Course (CQC) for the year, with 112 participants from across the country beginning the four-week training program today.

Officiating at the opening, Academy Commandant Acting Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Epeli Rikaiwai said the course is designed for officers who graduated from the academy three years ago and marks their first step toward eligibility for internal promotional courses.

A/SSP Rikaiwai told participants the program would serve as both a skills refresher and an opportunity to clarify uncertainties in their work.

“You are doing the work, and at times, if you haven’t been sure of what you were doing, this will be a good time to ask and clear your doubts,” he said.

He encouraged officers to use the training to strengthen their knowledge and make a positive impact in their communities upon their return.

The course is scheduled to conclude on 5 September 2025.
