The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) celebrated the graduation of the 1/23 Officer Cadet Course and 1/24 Territorial Officers Bridging Course at the Force Training Group Drill Square in Nasinu on November 19, 2024.
The ceremony was officiated by the Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua, who commended the graduates on reaching a pivotal milestone in their military careers.
In his address, Tikoduadua emphasized the significance of the moment, describing it as the beginning of a profound journey. “You stand on the threshold of a path that few have the honor to tread—a path defined by responsibility and purpose,” he said. He reminded the new officers of their dual roles as commanders and leaders who must inspire with courage and conviction.
The Minister highlighted the critical responsibility the graduates carry in shaping the RFMF’s future and serving the nation. “You will uphold the traditions of the RFMF while guiding its evolution to reflect the values of our nation. Your development as an officer is now your responsibility,” he added.
Tikoduadua closed his remarks by urging the officers to lead with integrity, honor, and a commitment to Fiji’s democratic principles. He encouraged them to serve not only their soldiers and the nation but to do so with excellence as a reflection of their pride and duty.
The ceremony was a moment of pride for the graduates and their families, marking the start of their journey as leaders within the RFMF.
