Reinstatement works on the sinkhole located along Queens Road near Semo Village, Sigatoka, have now been completed.
The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) confirmed that structural repairs to the affected section of the road have concluded, with pavement preparation and asphalt surfacing scheduled to follow in the coming days.
The sinkhole, which posed a risk to public safety and disrupted traffic flow, prompted emergency repairs. The FRA has acknowledged the public’s patience during the construction phase and advises motorists to continue exercising caution as final works progress.
The completed works are part of FRA’s ongoing efforts to ensure road safety and infrastructure resilience across Fiji.
