There is an unplanned power outage from 7:56pm yesterday affecting EFL customers in the Central division from Wailekutu in Lami to Serua.

This unplanned power outage has resulted from a fault on the underground 33,000 volts transmission circuit that transmits electricity from the Hibiscus Park Substation to the Wailekutu Substation (some 6km) which then transmit electricity to Navua, Deuba and all the way to Serua.

EFL teams have been working from last night to locate the underground cable fault before excavation and repair works can be carried out.

We are working to locate the underground fault and repair the same at the earliest so that power supply could be normalized for all the affected Customers.

This unplanned power supply interruption is affecting our valued customers who have been subjected to rolling outages in the Central Division along Queens Road from Wailekutu to Panaromic Road, CJ Patel, Navua Town to Wainiyabia, Serua and all tee-offs, as available power is being rationed amongst the affected customers.

EFL sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused to all our valued customers due to this unplanned power outage which was beyond our control.
