Bailey bridge market in Suva today was buzzing with excitement as people looked to buy fresh produce for Christmas feast.

Maika who travelled all the way from Navua, says he came to Suva to buy fresh fish for his brother in law

“My brother in law, came all the way from Australia yesterday for Christmas, we just came to buy some fish for the lovo later today for him”.

For Shimal and Alam from Suva, this Christmas is bittersweet as they will be migrating soon .

The market vendors were grateful for the beautiful weather and expressed their gratitude to the people of Suva for their support.

“Today has been a good sale, people have been rushing in since the morning, and we haven’t had time to rest. We just want to thank everyone for supporting us” says Sandy.
