Fiji Football Association has confirmed the top eight team’s that will feature in the first major tournament of the year later this month.
To the surprise of many football fans, Nasinu who gained promotion to the Premier League this season, has qualified to compete in the Digicel Fiji Fact tournament.
Once known as the giant killers, Nasinu beat Nadroga 2-1 to gain qualification to play in the Fiji Fact.
For the first time, Suva will not feature in the Fiji FACT despite beating Nadi 2-1 in the Premier League competition yesterday.
The Capital City side currently lies in ninth place in the Premier League standings.
Also missing out will be Tailevu Naitasiri who currently lie in 10th place.
Other team’s qualified for the Fiji Fact are, league leaders Rewa, Lautoka, Ba, Nadi, Nadroga, Labasa and Navua.
The Fiji Fact is scheduled to be played from 31 May to 2 June at Subrail Park in Labasa.
