Swire Shipping Fijian Drua utility back Tuidraki Samusamuvodre will remain with the Club for the next two Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific seasons after signing a two-year contract extension.
The 27-year-old Namotomoto, Nadi native has been part of the Drua since their debut in 2022, making 20 appearances and earning the Drua Community Champion of the Year award for his contributions to grassroots rugby and community engagement.
Reflecting on his re-signing, Samusamuvodre expressed gratitude to God and the coaching staff, saying he was eager for “exciting times ahead.”
This year proved to be a breakthrough season for the versatile midfielder, with 10 strong performances that impressed coaches and fans alike.
Drua General Manager of Rugby, Baden Stephenson, praised Samusamuvodre’s work ethic, resilience, and commitment, describing him as “a terrific ambassador of the Drua values and everyone he represents.”
