The Ministry of Education has issued a public warning regarding a fake school closure notice currently circulating on social media.
According to the Ministry, the document titled “School Closure Notice – Hantavirus Precautionary Measures” is not authentic and was neither issued nor approved by education authorities.
Officials are urging the public to ignore the misinformation and avoid sharing unverified content that could create unnecessary panic and confusion among students, parents, and school communities.
The Ministry emphasized that all official announcements relating to schools and education matters will only be released through verified government platforms and recognised media channels.
