The Government has warned the public about a misleading image circulating online claiming that Fiji will experience nationwide power rationing from June 1.
Authorities confirmed the information is false and said the notice was neither released nor approved by the Government or Energy Fiji Limited.
Officials said the graphic contains inaccurate claims that could unnecessarily alarm members of the public.
People are being urged not to circulate unverified content and instead follow updates issued through official Government platforms, Energy Fiji Limited, and other recognised authorities.
The Government also stressed that spreading false information during sensitive situations can create confusion and panic, calling on Fijians to use social media responsibly and help prevent the spread of misinformation.
