Joint efforts between police and local community members are ongoing as the search intensifies for the sixth passenger still missing following a boat capsizing incident in Beqa waters on Thursday afternoon.
One male victim, believed to be in his 50s, was recovered on Friday.
However, search operations were temporarily halted due to severe weather conditions. Despite the setback, recovery efforts resumed this morning, leading to the discovery of two additional bodies, which were transported to the Navua Hospital Mortuary.
Meanwhile, two men who were rescued earlier from the incident have since been discharged from Navua Hospital after receiving medical care.
Authorities have also confirmed that the overturned vessel has been located and successfully towed back to shore as investigations and recovery operations continue.
