Two young men are expected to appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today after being charged in connection with an alleged aggravated robbery in Nabua.
Police allege that the incident occurred on the afternoon of June 11, 2026, when a 30-year-old woman was waiting at a bus stop along Ratu Mara Road.
The pair, aged 19 and 20, are accused of threatening the woman before taking her mobile phone and handbag.
The suspects were apprehended by officers from the Nabua Police Station shortly after the alleged offence. Police also recovered all items reported stolen.
Both accused have been charged with one count of aggravated robbery and are scheduled to be produced before the Suva Magistrates Court today.
