Women leaders across Fiji’s Civil Service have been encouraged to champion integrity, resilience and service as they continue shaping a stronger and more effective public sector.
The message was reinforced during the Women in Leadership Forum hosted by the Fiji Learning Institute for Public Service (FLIPS) under the Ministry of Civil Service.
The event brought together middle and senior managers from Government agencies to discuss how strategic leadership and strong institutional values contribute to better public service delivery.
Facilitated by Head of FLIPS, Mrs. Atelaite Rokosuka, the forum focused on the importance of combining long-term strategic thinking with the core principles of the Civil Service.
Participants also heard from former Permanent Secretary Mrs. Banuve Kaumaitotoya and former Secretary-General to Parliament Mrs. Viniana Namosimalua, who shared leadership insights drawn from their extensive careers in public service.
Throughout the discussions, panellists encouraged women to lead with confidence, embrace innovation, mentor future leaders and remain committed to ethical decision-making and the rule of law.
They emphasised that genuine leadership is measured not by title, but by integrity, service and the ability to inspire meaningful change.
The forum highlighted the vital contribution of women in strengthening a professional, trusted and future-ready Civil Service that continues to deliver quality services for all Fijians.
