The Fiji Meteorological Service says a Strong Wind Warning remains in place for several parts of the country as strong southeasterly winds continue across the Fiji group.
The warning covers coastal areas from Sigatoka to Rakiraki and Udu Point, as well as the Yasawa and Kadavu groups and nearby islands. The Lau and Lomaiviti groups, southern Bua and Cakaudrove, and Cikobia, Taveuni and surrounding islands are also affected.
A trough of low pressure is expected to bring increased cloud cover, showers and rain to Fiji from tomorrow through to later Saturday.
People living in affected areas are urged to take necessary precautions, particularly those planning to travel by sea. Mariners are advised to remain vigilant and keep up with the latest official weather information from the Fiji Meteorological Service.
