The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has secured the services of promising backs Joji Nasova and Maika Tuitubou, with both players extending their contracts through to the 2028 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.

Nasova and Tuitubou made their Super Rugby Pacific debuts in 2026 after taking different pathways into the Drua setup and will continue their development with the franchise.

Nasova, who transitioned from international sevens, made five appearances for the Drua in his debut season after making his Super Rugby debut against the Hurricanes in Lautoka.

The Ba flyer also brings international experience, having already represented the Flying Fijians and scored four tries in three Tests.

Tuitubou made his Drua debut against the Chiefs in Christchurch, starting at outside centre alongside experienced midfielder Virimi Vakatawa, and went on to make three appearances.

Both players have continued to impress in Queensland’s Hospital Cup, helping Wests Bulldogs reach the grand final.

Tuitubou scored twice in their 36-19 semi-final victory over Easts, while Nasova’s form earned him a recall to the Flying Fijians squad for the Pacific Nations Cup.

Drua General Manager Rugby Baden Stephenson says the club is pleased to retain the pair, describing them as exciting and explosive players who have shown the talent and work ethic required to develop at Super Rugby level.

The two players are expected to play an important role in the Drua’s preparations for the 2027 season.
