Fiji’s constitutional review process is set to reach a major milestone today as the Constitutional Review Commission presents its final report to the President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.

The submission follows months of consultations held across the country, where the Commission engaged directly with communities and stakeholders to gather views on Fiji’s Constitution and the country’s constitutional future.

Villages, communities, organisations, institutions and other stakeholders took part in the consultation process, sharing their concerns, aspirations and recommendations with the Commission.

The presentation of the final report marks the culmination of the Commission’s work and its mandate to conduct an independent review of the Constitution.

Attention will now turn to the Commission’s findings and recommendations, as well as the next steps to be taken in Fiji’s constitutional review process.

With consultations now complete and the report ready for submission, the process enters a new chapter in shaping Fiji’s constitutional future.
