Eight districts will compete for the Senior Division title at the 86th FMF Inter-District Championship, with teams drawn into two groups for the 2026 tournament.
Group A features Lami FC, Northland Tailevu FC, Bua FC and Dreketi FC, while Group B consists of Rakiraki FC, Savusavu FC, Nadogo FC and Taveuni FC.
The Senior Division remains an important part of the IDC, giving districts the opportunity to compete on the national stage, showcase local talent and represent their communities in one of Fiji football’s recognised tournaments.
Four of the eight teams come from the Northern Division, with Bua and Dreketi drawn in Group A alongside Lami and Northland Tailevu.
Lami will represent the Southern Division and will look to test its progress against the other teams in the group, while Northland Tailevu will also be aiming to make an impact in a tightly contested pool.
Group B will see three Northern teams — Savusavu, Nadogo and Taveuni — take on Rakiraki, the only Western Division side in the group.
With qualification for the knockout stage at stake, every match could prove decisive as the teams battle for a place in the next round.
For the players, the IDC provides an opportunity to wear their district colours, represent their communities and showcase talent from outside Fiji’s top divisions.
The Senior Division also continues to support competitive football across Viti Levu and Vanua Levu by providing local players with opportunities to remain active in organised football.
As tournament football can often be decided by a single goal, save or moment of brilliance, the eight teams will be aiming to produce their best when the competition begins.
All will have the same objective — to finish the 86th FMF IDC as the 2026 Senior Division champions
