The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will host its first Trade Exhibition in Fiji this Thursday the 21st of November, at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
The four-day “Trade Show” will feature 30 Chinese companies representing various fields – from Infrastructure to Electronics, Agriculture, Technology and many more.
Expected to be the largest economic and trade event in the country, the Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji 2024 is aiming to showcase China’s strength in technology and innovation in the Pacific.
Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy Liu Ke says the exhibition will showcase the integration of high end and cutting-edge technology.
“These high-quality products and technologies not only demonstrate China’s outstanding achievements in technological innovation and industrial upgrading, but also provide an important platform for Fiji and Pacific Island countries to learn about China’s advanced technologies and products”, he said.
“It can help foster economic and trade cooperation and technical exchanges between two countries at higher levels”, he added.
Permanent Secretary for Trade Shaheen Ali says China is one of Fiji’s largest trading partner, and the exhibition will further strengthen economic ties.
The exhibition will cover an indoor display area of around 1,000 square meters and outdoor display area of around 600 square meters.
Leading brands like Huawei, Hytera, China Railway Construction, Great Wall Motors, among many other are expected to feature at the Trade Show which officially open this Thursday until Sunday.
