Rowena Acraman, 22, is competing to win the title of Miss Hibiscus 2024.
Acraman has been appointed by the Suva City Council to represent Apco Coatings.
Acraman wants to work for nonprofit organizations that confront the urgent problem of climate change and defend human rights.
According to SCC, her engagement to these causes demonstrates her desire to have a constructive influence on the world.
Acraman attended Jai Narayan College after finishing her schooling at St. Anne’s Primary School. Currently, she is a student at the University of the South Pacific.
Her remarkable linguistic abilities are demonstrated by her strong passion for education and cross-cultural interactions. She was formerly a journalist and speaks Hindi, English, and Japanese fluently.
In addition to her academic accomplishments, she is a passionate musician, artist, and vocalist. She is skilled on the guitar and ukulele, and her interests in art, music, and self-taught Japanese language demonstrate a profound appreciation for creativity and expression.
The Suva Civic Center and Civic Foreshore will host the Hibiscus Festival from this month’s 31st to September 7th.
