The Fiji Football Association Futsal Courts hosted its first-ever Southern Women’s Futsal League. The league promises to be a game-changer for women’s sports in Fiji, with five teams including Suva Women’s Futsal, Rewa Women’s Futsal, Nasinu Women’s Futsal, Northland Tailevu Women’s Futsal and Tailevu Naitasiri Women’s Futsal showcasing their skills and passion for the sport.
Futsal enthusiasts, fans, and supporters gathered in numbers to witness the opening match, which was marked by a festive atmosphere and an exciting display of talent. The Southern Women’s Futsal League is set to provide a platform for women athletes to excel in this fast-paced and highly entertaining sport.
The Fiji Football Association, in collaboration with local stakeholders, has worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this historic league. The tournament format consists of a round-robin competition, followed by semi-finals and a highly anticipated grand final.
