Self-employed businessman Imran Khan, also known as “King Khan”, has been convicted of unlawful possession of illicit drugs.
Magistrate Yogesh Prasad found the 41-year-old guilty of possessing 4.1364 grams of methamphetamine in Suva on 7th February 2023.
In delivering his judgment, Magistrate Prasad rejected Khan’s claim that the drugs had been planted by police, stating that there was compelling evidence against him.
The court found that the prosecution had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt.
The matter has been adjourned for sentencing hearing next week Tuesday.
