Fiji Bati have maintained their standing among rugby league’s elite, retaining seventh place in the latest International Rugby League Men’s World Rankings ahead of the 2026 Rugby League World Cup.
Australia remains the world’s top-ranked men’s team and will head into next year’s World Cup as the number one nation, followed by New Zealand, England, Samoa and Tonga in the top five.
Fiji’s position highlights the continued strength of rugby league in the Pacific, with Samoa ranked fourth, Tonga fifth and Papua New Guinea sixth. The Cook Islands also feature in the top ten at eighth place, while the Netherlands and Ukraine round out the rankings.
The updated standings showcase the growing influence of Pacific nations on the international rugby league stage, with five Pacific countries securing places inside the men’s top ten.
As preparations continue for the 2026 Rugby League World Cup, the Fiji Bati will be looking to build on their strong international standing and translate their top-ten ranking into success on the sport’s biggest stage.
