Ba Women’s football team departs Fiji tomorrow for the OFC Women’s Champions League in Honiara, Solomon Islands, carrying the hopes of their supporters and the nation into the regional competition.
Ba Football Association president Praneel Dayal expressed confidence in the squad’s preparation and ability to compete against some of Oceania’s leading clubs.
Dayal encouraged the players to embrace the opportunity, represent Ba and Fiji with pride, and demonstrate their determination throughout the tournament.
He said the competition provides a valuable platform for the team to showcase its talent on the regional stage.
also urged the players to remain united, give their best in every match, and wear the Ba colours with honour while making their supporters proud.
Ba opens its Group B campaign against Solomon Islands club Henderson Eels FC on June 28 before meeting Papua New Guinea champions Hekari Women FC on July 1. The Women in Black will conclude their pool fixtures against Vanuatu’s Tafea FC on July 4.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, with the tournament final scheduled for July 10.
