Dad, Mum and Children, otherwise known as DMC began its operations in Fiji in 2023 and just two years ago today, business has since been thriving in the country.
Speaking to Fiji One News, Director for DMC, Weng Wei Jue says that apart from their branch in Samoa, Fiji has been the best spot for business due to its friendliness as well as the high demand for fried chicken by the Fijian people.
According to the Director for DMC and Oben 78, the company’s name is derived from the affection that families have for fried chicken.
He also hopes to introduce something new into their menu next month.
“Many people are always asking what the meaning of DMC is. So, D is for Dad, M is for Mum, C is for children. You can see that at the moment a lot of families come and choose DMC. You can also see that a lot of children are happy to come because we have a kid’s playground that’s for free. We are hoping that next month, we will have a new inclusion in the menu for DMC which will be kebabs. I hope more people will like it.”
Commenting on a few facebook posts that have been made about DMC, Weng says that problems are inevitable and can arise any second, however, his company ensures that all complaints raised by their customers are handled as soon as they occur.”
“We have one staff who is on the 24 hour lookout for Facebook and any complaints received is immediately acted on. I can’t say that there won’t be any problems but what I can say is any problems that occur is quickly solved so that it will not happen again.”
Weng also highlights why Fiji was and has been the best spot for business so far
“I’m so lucky I can come to Fiji and Fijian are very kind. We also have a very good supplier in Fiji and Crest Chicken is number One. I visited their factory and we will work together to make sure that when you eat DMC Chicken, it is very fresh. Also, when a chicken is cut from the factory, it is then delivered to our shops just 2 days later. That is why it is very fresh and it is number One.”
Meanwhile, although business has been booming, Weng is skeptical about the number of employees and is urging the general public to reach out to them if they are looking for employment.
