The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has announced scheduled maintenance and improvement works on key roads in the Suva area, including MacGregor Road, the Kalabu Tax-Free Zone, and Fletcher Road. The works are planned from May 7 to May 10, 2025, and will involve both day and night shifts.

The roadworks aim to improve infrastructure conditions and are part of FRA’s broader commitment to maintaining road safety and efficiency across the capital.

Work Schedule:

MacGregor Road

• Wednesday, May 7: Night shift (9:00 PM – 4:00 AM)
• Saturday, May 10: Night shift (9:00 PM – 4:00 AM)

Kalabu Tax-Free Zone

• Thursday, May 8: Day shift (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Friday, May 9: Day shift (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Friday, May 9: Night shift (9:00 PM – 4:00 AM)
• Saturday, May 10: Day shift (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Fletcher Road (Statham to Laucala Bay)

• Thursday, May 8: Night shift (9:00 PM – 4:00 AM)

FRA is advising motorists to expect traffic delays and to plan travel accordingly. Traffic management personnel and signage will be deployed in all active work zones to ensure public safety.
